My Name is Julian Rohn. I’m a former whitewater canoe champion, now photographer and writer.

I studied sport science at the german sport university in Cologne, Germany and worked for several german newspapers and magazines.

Driven by the desire to explore new places I started photography with an analog Rollei 35 from my parents to capture my adventures. Over the years my cameras have become bigger, but I still carry them in the great outdoors.

When I’m not kayaking in Tasmania, climbing Mont Blanc, skiing in Norway or trekking in Terra del Fuego I’m based in Munich, Germany.
